Week 5
Students are bringing their stories to life by trying out some new craft moves in their writing!
As part of our recycling and composting unit we traveled to the YES garden to learn more about all the food and flowers that benefit from healthy soil.
On Thursday all first grade classrooms met and built the first grade worm composting bin! The bin will travel from room to room. Students will have opportunities to study the worms up close, feed them, and observe the decomposition process throughout the year.
In math we've been focusing on combinations of 10. Student played a variety of games this week to help them learn their friendly tens!
